Algorithmic generative audio installation


Structure description:


   Sound of distant microclimate. Time shifting scales, frequencies and rhytms
   Synthesiser controlled by mushrooms
   Intelligent spores changing environment, and influencing resulting sound
   Data from Mushroom Grow Tank sensors are processed by predictive calculations and synthetized into live stream composition


Data Aquizition Module:


   DHT22 sensor in Grow Tank - acquiring real time values for temperature and humidity
   Raspberry Pi Zero - data cashing - Python scripts with Adafruit_DHT library
   data transport to Supercollider server and to graphing server plot.ly

Data Processing Module:


   two C++ modules for calculating natural random values using Entropy algorithms.
   two Supercollider modules for processing input values
   several sound ugens - synth and effect generators

Streaming Module:


   Pure Data audio stream patch capturing input audio from SC
   broadcasting over Icecast2 server.

Why do we conduct this experiment?


   We want to grow culture of Pestalotiopsis microspora / Fungi Mutarium - polyuretan-eating mushrooms in micro environment,
   autonome system self-controlled by artificial inteligence and independent on external interaction.
   As the fungi that processes polyurethane don't need any oxygen, we want to isolate it in container,
   which will be submerged in the deep sea, or sent to some planet like Mars.
   Natural rate of plastic waste decomposition will be reduced from 400 years to a mere few months,
   and these fungi could soon be taking over the world, and coloniying the Space.
   Feedback providing information about evolving will be streamed data and audio, isolated for security resons.
